Dubai Metro is the Middle East’s first light rail transit system and the world’s longest. This fully-automated metro consists of two main lines: Red and Green. The first phase, Red Line, running from Jebel Ali to Al Rashidiya covers 52.9 Km with 29 stations, and the second, Green Line, covers 23 km with 20 stations. DG Jones and Partners were employed by the Joint Venture Contractor to provide Pre-Contract Cost Consultancy Services and on a secondment basis for post contract services on the Red and Green Lines stations. The Dubai Metro Red Line opened on 09.09.09 with the Green Line opened in August 2011.
