CMA-CGM Headquarters
The Beirut headquarters for CMA-CGM, a worldwide shipping company, is a state-of-the-art office building, with a fully glazed exterior enclosure. Overlooking Beirut and its port, the building comprises 4 basements and 7 upper floors, with a total built-up area of 12,000 m2. It is fully equipped with the latest building technologies.
This transparent composite structure, designed by Nabil Gholam Architects, is divided into three sculpted masses, grouped around a full-height atrium and a double-height lobby. The atrium serves as a central element, which links the various components together through suspended bridges. When illuminated at night, the building looks like a glowing ship afloat on a darkened sea. DG Jones and Partners served as the Project Manager for the CMA-CGM Headquarters in Beirut.
