QAT-Venue Manager

Job Description

Venue Manager Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing all maintenance and repairs of the venue grounds, property, equipment, and facilities.
  • Ensuring that the venue and facilities are clean and organized.
  • Managing all events and liaising with the employer and stakeholders to determine event requirements.
  • Preparing venue hire packages and pricing options and negotiating with clients.
  • Supervising all staff including groundsmen, event staff, and maintenance personal.
  • Scheduling and coordinating the rental of sound equipment, furniture, and other venue equipment.
  • Liaising with QDF catering services and supervising their requirements and logistics.
  • Supervising the operations of events and tending to any incidents or queries.
  • Managing all administrative tasks such as insurance, booking schedules, and invoicing.
  • Communicating and enforcing all security regulations and protocols.
  • Personal Development
  • Take responsibility for own ongoing personal development and growth of expertise.
  • Keep abreast with any market trends and developments.
  • Assist in the response to any emergency or a major operational disruption affecting Qatar Airways or its
  • subsidiaries, including support of the Qatar Airways Special Assistance Program.
  • Train Qatari staff in various duties as per business requirements.

 

 


Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in event management, hospitality or similar.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Excellent promotional ability and knowledge of marketing channels and techniques.
  • Sound knowledge of safety measures and risk management strategies.
  • Great interpersonal and communication abilities with an international team.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills and leadership abilities.
  • Willingness to work long hours and on weekends and holidays when required.
  • Knowledge of international standards, recommended practices, national codes specifications and
    procedures in particular to environmental conservation.
  • Prove ability efficiency and quality improvement.
  • A minimum of 10 years experience as a venue or event manager.

QAT-Planning Manager

Job Description
  • Produce adequate, proper and effective detailed construction schedule.
  • Direct, and co-ordinate the various tasks of the Planning Section and ensure compliance to Project Manager’s requirements and contract specification.
  • Ensure meeting or improving on project target.
  • Ensure quality standards and cost control methods are adopted by Section employees.

Requirements
  • Manage planning activities throughout the time span project.
  • Co-ordinate with Project Manager in preparing the initial construction schedule.
  • Identify the major milestones to be attained through the project completion.
  • Identify key milestones external but to but with impact on the project.
  • Indicate the relationship between the project procurement cycle and the budget cycle.
  • Prepare with the assistance of the Planning Engineer and under full co-operation with the Project Manager and Project Engineer(s), the detailed construction schedule of the project.
  • Summarize the material, machines and labor requirements for the project.
  • Provide estimates for the total project cost estimate and the basis for such estimate.
  • Supervise the tasks allocated to Planning Engineer(s), and ensure full utilization of resources available.
  • Review weekly reports submitted by the Planning Engineer(s) and provide guidance. 
  • Update the Project Manager with decisions made throughout the preparation stage and receive feedback.
  • Prepare and submit to the Project Manager a draft for the detailed construction schedules for approval.  
  • Review and approve all amendments to the construction schedule and initiate remedial actions at the earliest opportunity.
  • Updates Program Manager and the Project Manager concerned on the actual progress of the Project in relation to plan and respond to their questions.
  • Attend meetings with clients as necessary.
  • Ensure the effective and efficient use of personnel and resources.
  • Ensure the application of the Establishment stated policies and procedures.
  • Prepare reports on work progress and submit them to the Program Manager.
  • Perform any other duty as assigned by the Manager.
