Located northeast of the Manama, Diyar Al Muharraq is a complex of seven manmade islands, with an overall area of 12 km2— spread across 10 km2 of reclaimed land. Considered one of the most visionary and progressive urban developments in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Diyar Al Muharraq is a fully integrated city incorporating a vast variety of modern residential and commercial facilities with related amenities.
The project includes reclamation and rock revetment, beaches, villas (social, affordable & luxurious), services apartments, and primary and secondary infrastructure. Once completed, it will include more than 40Km waterfront with sandy beaches, with a variety of vital elements ranging extensively from fully equipped educational facilities and schools, medical centers, recreation facilities, sports and entertainment facilities, community centers, souq, and shopping malls, expansive parklands, hotels, and marinas.
DG Jones and Partners were appointed as the construction consultant on the project from the reclamation works to the completion of the South Island Infrastructure (both primary and secondary) and the general build-out of villas, mosques, shops, parks, recreation facilities, and others, which are directly developed by Diyar Al Muharraq.
