O.S.E.O.K Bestows Honor Upon Andy Christophorides

On the 20th of May, 2023, an event of significant importance was held: the General Assembly of the Cyprus Federation of Building Contractors Association, also known as O.S.E.O.K. This critical gathering took place under the watchful eyes of several key figures, all assembled to discuss matters of grave importance to the construction industry in the Republic of Cyprus.

In attendance was none other than the Minister of Labor and Social Insurance, Mr. Yiannis Panagiotou. He was there not only in his official capacity but also as a representative of His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Cyprus. Joining him were other significant governmental personalities such as Mr. Alexis Vafeades, the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, and Ms. Anna Koukkides-Procopiou, the Minister of Justice and Public Order. In addition, Ms. Eleni Kaskiri, the Associate Director of the Public Works Department, was also present during this event, further bolstering the high-profile nature of the assembly.

Amidst the assemblage of these distinguished personalities, a particular individual stood out: Mr. Andy Christophorides. A respected author and writer of construction contracts with The Cyprus Joint Construction Contracts Tribunal Ltd, or CYJCCT Ltd, Mr. Christophorides has long been a figure of significant influence in the industry. His works have played a decisive role in shaping and regulating the complex relationships between employers, contractors, and supervisors within the Construction Industry in Cyprus.

In recognition of his tireless dedication and invaluable contribution, the assembly took a moment to honor Mr. Christophorides. The Minister of Justice and Order, Ms. Anna Koukkides-Procopiou, presented him with a commemorative gift. This symbolic gesture was not only an acknowledgment of Mr. Christophorides's impressive past efforts but also a testament to his long-term impact on the industry in Cyprus.
