This course teaches the discipline of a common data environment (CDE), not just its interface, on Autodesk Forma, the platform that Autodesk Construction Cloud became in March 2026.
The course is run as a simulation. On day one, participants take on project roles, as architect, contractor, document controller, project manager, inside the CDE. They then run a real information exchange: uploading and versioning documents, raising markups and issues, executing review and approval workflows, and issuing transmittals. Collaboration is taught through practice within the Forma interface.
Best practices are anchored in ISO 19650 principles, work-in-progress, shared, and published states, and the single source of truth, so participants take home methods that transfer to any project. Participants also diagnose a deliberately mismanaged project, learning from what goes wrong, not only from what goes right.
