Lusail Multipurpose Arena

Situated in Lusail, Qatar, the Lusail Multipurpose Arena is a premier indoor sports facility boasting a seating capacity exceeding 15,300. Its design, inspired by the hues of the sea, pearls, and desert sands, mimics the shape of a conch, making it an ideal venue for Olympic sports such as Handball, Basketball, and Volleyball. The arena is part of a larger development that spreads across roughly 390,000 square meters and includes three primary structures alongside comprehensive landscaping, pathways for vehicles, and ample parking.

The first building, known as the "Multipurpose Hall," serves as the central hub of the arena. Spanning about 49,315 square meters, it houses the main arena, a pair of training halls, and exclusive areas for VIPs and VVIPs. In addition, it accommodates various rooms and amenities for athletes, staff, and spectators.

The second structure, labeled the "Cooling Tower Building," functions as the principal utility building, covering 1,080 square meters. It is equipped with a comprehensive air conditioning and ventilation system, a chiller plant (including water-cooled chillers, cooling towers, thermal storage, heat exchangers, and pumps), and fresh air treatment plants featuring heat pipe recovery systems.

Lastly, the third building, known as the “Microwave Tower,” is the secondary utility facility, with a total area of 378 square meters. It is primarily used for TV broadcasting, containing a dedicated room for this purpose.
