Assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor in the preparation of quantities estimates, tender documents, and the preparation and compilation of necessary information.
  • Preparation of Construction Cost Estimates
  • Preparation of Tender Documentation;including detailed Bill of Quantities
  • Preparation of Tender Reports; including for critical analysis and comparison of tenders.
  • Preparation of Contract Documentation.
  • Cost Impact Assessment Reports for Potential Variations
  • Attending and recording Client, Commercial and Progress Meetings
  • Preparation of Monthly Progress Reports
  • Preparation of Executive Cost Reports for decision making
  • Project coordination from inception to completion in liaison with the Design Team and Client Representatives
  • Preparation of Development Appraisals
  • Evaluation and reporting on Tenders and Contractual Issues
  • Examining and agreeing Interim Valuations
  • Preparation of Interim Payment Recommendations
  • Review of Contractor’s Claims
  • Assisting in the preparation of Employer’s Claims
  • Cost Control and Reporting during Construction Stage
  • Preparation of Interim Cost Reports
  • Preparation and of Final Accounts



Requirements

BSc degree in Quantity Surveying

Must have MEP & Structure experience 
5 years experience
2 years in UAE
Proficient in the use of CATO & Cost X
BIM experience is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mastery of measurement rules and standard methods
  • Reviewing tender documents and drafting Bills of Quantities
  • Collecting pricing data and supporting cost assessment negotiations
  • Crafting cost estimates utilizing benchmarking and market data
  • Contract administration and oversight of payment provisions
  • Managing change control processes and valuing Variations (VOs)
  • Assessing prolongation costs and issuing Payment Certificates
  • Analyzing risks and executing informed mitigation strategies
  • Monitoring project progress against cash flow and budget
  • Generating cost reports and overseeing Work In Progress (WIP) reports and final accounts
  • Tracking and reporting potential risks and cost variations
  • Demonstrating proficiency in scheduling principles and project control techniques
  • Cultivating positive client relationships and offering expert advice
  • Analyzing client briefs and formulating detailed client proposals
  • Managing client expectations and addressing complaints effectively
  • Proficiency in accounting principles and interpreting financial statements
  • Monitoring capital costs and assessing the impact of sustainability measures

Requirements
Education & Experience:
  • Degree / Diploma / Professional Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or equivalent
  • Membership in a Professional Body (RICS, CIOB, CIArb, etc.)
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience
