Dynamo for Revit

Course Description

As BIM models become increasingly data-rich and project demands grow, the ability to automate repetitive tasks and manage model data efficiently has become essential for modern BIM professionals. This course introduces participants to Dynamo for Revit, demonstrating how visual scripting and AI-assisted workflows can significantly improve productivity, data quality, and compliance within BIM environments.

Through practical examples and real-world use cases, participants will learn how to automate time-consuming modeling processes, streamline quantity takeoff using structured BIM data, and establish bidirectional links between Revit and Excel for efficient data exchange. The course will also explore the use of AI-assisted Python scripting within Dynamo nodes to support parameter validation, automated checks, and model compliance.

In addition, the course will demonstrate how Dynamo can be used to identify and correct data inconsistencies in large BIM models, such as naming errors, zoning conflicts, and missing parameters, helping teams maintain reliable and structured project information. The workflows presented will also support alignment with ISO 19650 information management principles and NRM1 quantity measurement practices, enabling more consistent and data-driven project delivery.
