The Orbital Highway and Truck Route which includes 45km of road network and a total of four interchanges is located South-West of the Doha City at the New Doha Port (NDP) connecting Al Wakrah-Mesaieed Highway to the East-West Corridor north, Al Wakra Bypass East and the Orbital Highway West.

The main roads consist of 8-lane section (4 in each direction) with additional Collectors/Distributor roads, frontage roads and ramps. The mainline typical section also has a provision for a future addition of two more inner lanes in each direction (totaling to at least a 12-lane mainline section.
