City Stars Sharm Resort
Surrounded by mountains and panoramic views of the Red Sea at 60m above sea level, the Citystars is a 750 Ha residential and mixed-use development, including hotels, touristic, retail, sports, leisure, and cultural facilities. The project includes 12.5 Ha of Crystal Lagoons and 22 kms of white sandy beaches (As of 2015, Citystars Sharm El Sheikh is the Guinness World Record holder for the largest manmade crystalline lagoon), allowing for sailing, swimming, and practice of water sports all around the development. As part of the Citystars development, there are seven (IHG) hotels, several residential districts with villas, and apartment blocks and a commercial mall, with full infrastructure, services, utilities, roads, and landscaping works. There is also an 18-hole signature golf course designed by Colin Montgomerie. DG Jones and Partners provided cost management consultancy at the pre-contract stage of the project.
