The Advanced Navisworks Course is a practical, workflow-oriented training program designed to strengthen BIM coordination, model review, and project validation capabilities within real-world project environments.
Developed following the positive engagement and feedback from previous Revit Intermediate sessions, this course focuses on how Autodesk Navisworks Manage can be effectively utilized beyond basic model navigation — serving as a centralized BIM coordination platform for reviewing, validating, and interrogating federated models across multiple disciplines.
The course addresses practical industry challenges commonly encountered by Quantity Surveyors, BIM coordinators, planners, and project teams when working with BIM models that may not always be fully standardized, coordinated, or information-complete. Participants will learn how to review graphical and non-graphical model information, identify inconsistencies, validate project data, and improve confidence in BIM-based workflows used for coordination, quantity review, and project control.
In addition to core coordination workflows, the course introduces practical applications of clash detection, Light Model Viewers (LMV), cloud-based BIM review environments, and introductory 4D and 5D BIM workflows that support modern project delivery and digital construction processes.
Through hands-on demonstrations and practical exercises, participants will develop a clearer understanding of how Navisworks contributes to improved collaboration, coordination efficiency, quantity validation, and decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
